Booking:
Once a firm booking has been made we require 48 hours notice of cancellation. (Without exception), otherwise the full lesson charge will apply.

You can request a particular instructor when you re-book, but please understand we cannot always guarantee they will be available. The same applies to requesting a specific horse although we will try our best to ensure you get your requested choices.

All lessons must be paid for on arrival.

Clothing:
Ideally, jodhpurs or ankle length trousers, Boots with a small heel (sandals, shoes and trainers are unacceptable). Hard hats which hold a current British safety standard must be worn at all times when mounted. We have hard hats available. All jumping lessons require body protectors to be worn.

Booking Conditions:

Group Lessons - 45 minutes
For the novice rider group lessons are a natural progression once the client rides confidently at walk, trot and canter. It gives the opportunity to ride a 45min session alongside other horses and riders. For the more advanced rider the classes cover working the horses in lateral movements, i.e. leg yield, shoulder-in etc. they also develop the rider's understanding of sending the horse from leg to hand and thus achieving a better self-carriage from the horse. For those interested, these lessons also cover show-jumping both for the novice and more experienced rider where required.

Private Lessons - 45 minutes - 1 hour
Private lessons are perfect for the novice rider just off the lunge and in preparation for joining group lessons. Also designed for the more advanced client whose own needs and requirements determine the content of the lesson.

Riding School

Together with our team of friendly instructors, yard and office staff, we offer a welcoming atmosphere for anyone wishing to learn to ride. Our clients are assured a professional and pleasant environment no matter what their age or ability.

At Edenside Riding School we run group lessons for children and adults from beginner through to competition level. All new riders must be assessed on their ability as we pride ourselves in making sure riders, their mounts and staff are safe at all times.. We also offer private lessons and evening lessons, but for insurance purposes we only provide lessons for children over the age of 5.

During the half terms and summer holidays we run own a pony days (Price on application) and we also offer Full and Half Leases for some of our ponies and horses. The own a pony days give children the opportunity to own a pony for the day, and include both riding and stable management. Rosettes are awarded to winners of the pony games held on these days.

There is a wide selection of private and group lessons available throughout the week, ranging from novice to advanced and includes specific show jumping lessons which are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
