Edenside Riding School & Livery Yard was established in its present location over 30 years ago by Raymond Gatherum. Through the years we have grown from being a small livery yard into one of the busiest livery yards and riding schools in Fife where many of our clients eventually go on to purchase a horse of their own from us.
Edenside Riding School & Livery Yard is now managed by Alistair Gatherum, with Raymond Gatherum continuing to offer support and advice on the everyday running of the business in his capacity as consultant and trainer.
Alistair, who has experienced immense success competing at international level winning many Grand Prixs is a very tenacious asset to the everyday achievements at Edenside has a strong role in the business which involves private lessons / clinics and the training and selling of young horses.
With Alistair and Raymond Gatherums’ strong working relationship involving invaluable advice and participation and with the dedicated support of their staff they have broken, schooled and sold many quality ponies and horses which have achieved show jumping success.
Raymonds' constant enthusiasm and dedication to encourage and teach the young riders at Edenside Riding School & Livery Yard is exemplary, by bringing in many different types of ponies to give the young riders as much opportunities as possible to ride.
Raymond timelessly spends his evenings and weekends teaching the young riders the art of balance, poise and control when riding the ponies. Not to mention the many jumping lessons he does to ensure they all have a firm grounding so they can attend and succeed at local, national and international shows.
Show jumping plays a very strong part in the day to day at Edenside Riding School & Livery Yard and is a major factor in the training of many young ponies and horses for sale by us.
